Lions and Tigers and Bears ...




Well, actually, the bears were off exhibit. But the lions, tigers and other big cats were out in full force at the Como Zoo today in St. Paul. The trip reminded us how much Truman likes to be out and about. He was content just looking around and being part of the excitement of the great big world.

I think Truman was making the same face as that lion when we arrived:







We saw a tiger:

and a mountain lion/cougar/puma:




We saw a giraffe trying to measure up:




and one happy baby Truman:













We also got to see a butterfly exhibit. Here we are waiting to get inside:

Sunlight made this one almost transparent. In the first photo you can see the designs from both sides of its wings. The second shows the bright blue of its inner wings.







Truman's day at the zoo ended in much the same way it began:
