Fun with Uncle Garrett

Truman met my brother, Garrett and helped him play the guitar. Then we all utilized his latest stacking toy to play a balance game involving picking up all of the stacking blocks with one hand, walking around the house, then getting them back on the peg without dropping any. Garrett, having gotten nearly all the blocks, bragged about his greatness, which inspired Joe to surpass him. Who knew how many things you can do with a stacking toy.

He also got to meet his great-grandma and great-grandpa Mac.

Down on the Ranch

More photos from the first trip to my dad's ranch.

Grandpa's Horses

We spent the last few days at my dad's house, Scenic Valley Ranch where Truman got to meet my dad, step-mom, brother and their horses for the first time. Though he was a little intimidated at first, he enjoyed the horses and had fun crawling around his grandpa's tile floor and playing with is coasters.

The Sand and Sea

We took Truman to the beach for the first time today. He wasn't a huge fan of the water because it was cold, but he loved the sand. His favorite thing about the sand? It's taste, apparently.

He also wasn't a huge fan of being washed off with cold water afterward. As we walked back to our car he babbled, telling us all about his beach adventures.

Haircut

I got a much needed haircut before we headed to San Diego. Pardon the crazy look on my face.

First Flight

Truman had a great time on our flight to San Diego. He seemed to be a little confused by the sensations of the plane landing, but wasn't distressed. He took a nice big nap and flirted with everyone who would smile back (and even a few people who weren't).

Notice the "first flight" onesie. He was wearing a different outfit before we left and it got dirty so I asked Joe to grab me whatever I saw quickest, which was this orange onesie. I completely forgot it said "first flight" on it until we got on the plane. Apparently my subconscious is punny.

My mom and Grandma took us out to dinner at Miguel's after we arrived.
